Background & Experience:

Growing up in a very small rural community in eastern Ohio, chances are good you had a German Shepherd – Barbie did, and his name was Hans. It was said when she was little, and she was a very small child, she would ride Hans like a horse.

She also had a Border collie named Lady, as well as several white cats: Kitty Tom, Snowball, and Fluffy. Barbie was very partial to white kitties while growing up. Barbie’s mother said if we do come back after life, she would want to come back as Barbie’s pet.

Barbie currently makes her home with a Cockatiel, several finches, fresh water fish, two Standard Poodles, a Toy Poodle, and three adopted rescue cats and enjoys riding horses a favorite pastime.

Barbie graduated from Shorter College in 2003 with a Master of Business Administration. While studying for her Masters her love of animals led to the ultimate decision to own and operate a successful pet sitting company. Barbie researched, compiled statistics, and wrote a business plan for pet sitting, and presented it upon graduation as her thesis. That is how it all got started.

Since 2003, Barbie has appeared on local entertainment show Indie Style with singer songwriter and host Leah Devon. She continually updates her pet CPR and First Aid as well as adult CPR, and is insured and bonded. Barbie is currently working on her dog training certification, and will complete the course this year. Not only is Barbie a leader in the pet sitting industry she is also a certified personal trainer. Her goal for the future is to motivate and inspire her two legged as well as her four legged clients toward getting fit together.
